It’s Sunday so we go to church

This morning we drove across Pendeli mountain to Nea Makri, the small seaside town in the bay of Marathon and walked in the sunshine to the tiny chapel on the sand at the end of the footpath.  It’s things like this that remind me what a lovely life I have.

  1. Is that a one-person chapel? Like a phone box with a hotline to him upstairs?

  2. they’re lovely these little chapels/shrines – they’re all over the place and usually very well tended with lamps lit and icons left there.

  3. I’ve never seen one that shape – just the little cube-shaped ones. It’s really sweet.
